Service Description
Want to develop your skills and try more techniques? Then a longer course of classes is for you! During the two and a half hour sessions you will learn about creating your own pottery in more depth including preparing the clay, recognising the different stages and how to apply different techniques and materials. The class is very much led by your creativity and interests with Claire on hand to guide and support you. The classes are focused on wheel throwing with the inclusion of adding handles, decorating your pieces and using a variety of techniques, materials and equipment . The classes are purposefully kept small to allow for lots of time for tuition and there is always one wheel available per student. This course is suitable for beginners up to more experienced potters. Although we recommend you attend a taster session beforehand - it is not mandatory. The cost of the course includes all tools, equipment and materials, along with firing your work. (unless it is particularly large piece which would incur an additional fee). Please note we allow for a maximum of 8 pieces per student. The two hour session includes 15 minutes cleaning up time at the end of the class.
