ABOUT CLAIRE'S HOUSE
Claire's House studio began exactly there, at Claire's house! Claire was combining working as a high school teacher of Art alongside setting up her home studio in a converted garage. As time went by ceramics became the focus of her work, making and selling to shops and markets whilst teaching part time during the week. When the Bury St Edmunds studio and shop space became available though, Claire fell in love and with the support of her family she could set up her dream space and left school teaching behind.

Claire's family play a huge role in the studio both in setting up and still now with husband Gareth often seen helping out (and building shelves), her four children all pop by, all helping out from time to time with the running of the studio. Mum, Christine can often be found in the shop tending to the (neglected) plants and serving customers!

Claire's House has grown and now has fired thousands of pots for the wonderful clay community that has been built! We now offer a choice of courses, taster sessions, hand building drop in sessions, pottery painting, open studio sessions and memberships! New staff members Bailey and Iana - see below, have brought their skills to the studio and we can't wait to see what the future holds!
